Urbem arrives at the civil construction market driven by our conviction to use the strength of the forest to build, today, the cities of the future. A purpose based on a robust, versatile, innovative and sustainable material: engineered wood.

Made with raw material with low environmental impact and from certified forests, engineered wood is considered the future of civil construction. Among its different products, the CLT (acronym in English for cross laminated timber) and MLC (glued laminated wood) stand out, which together act as a robust and innovative construction system. They have a high performance capability of withstanding heavy loads, reaching large spans, in addition to providing optimization on the construction site, reducing waste and reducing deadlines. The aspect, however, that distinguishes TIMBER from other materials, is the fact that it is a renewable raw material and acts in the capture of carbon dioxide, storing it throughout its useful life



Crossed Laminated Timber (MLCC) or Cross Laminated Timber (CLT)
Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) is a product that has the potential to revolutionize the civil construction market and might be applied in the most diverse construction types from single-family homes to multi-floors buildings.

Its production is carried out by gluing layers of long wooden lamellas arranged side by side and stacked on top of each other, being organized in opposite directions. The layers are subjected to great pressure by means of hydraulic presses and the reaction of the adhesive agents, forming large panels of high structural performance.

This performance is related to the lamella crossing technology, allowing a two-way load distribution, generating a light product, of stable dimensioning and high load capacity.

CLT can be used in different construction elements, such as walls, slabs and roofs. The thickness and composition of our panels vary according to the use and structural requirements of each project.

The parts are delivered with cuts, holes, markings and recesses, as we use CNC (Computer Numerical Command) systems, thus, transforming the construction site into a simple assembly. All of our products will be manufactured through a rigorous inspection process in which the TIMBER used has a moisture content of 12% (+/- 2%) helping to prevent parasites and fungi. Our raw material comes from the management of sustainable forests that ar FSC® certified and comply with all forest regulations and standards.


Glued Laminated Timber (Glulam) or Glued Laminated Timber (Glulam), together with CLT, acts as a robust and innovative construction system. Together they have a high performance, able to withstand intense loads and reach large GAPS.

Its production process is carried out by gluing long wooden lamellas, arranged in the direction of their fibers and with the same orientation as the longitudinal axis of the piece. The coverslips are positioned along hydraulic jigs and subjected to pressure, forming lightweight construction elements with high structural performance. The MLC is used as a porch, deploying to pillars and beams in the most varied dimensions and lengths, offering creative freedom for carrying out various projects. Like the CLT, we ensure that the parts produced in our industry are in accordance with the project, through the use of CNC, which performs all the necessary machining for compatibility. Such a solution enables precise connections, ensuring an efficient and waste-free assembly system


Scheduled to open in 2022, our factory will be ready to serve and supply the national and international markets with Brazilian engineered wood with quality and reliability, in line with Brazilian standards and main foreign standards. Located in the south of the country, close to the supply of abundant and quality raw material, our location will guarantee the competitive cost of our final product, as well as the logistical efficiency to attend our clients’ projects.

We will have an annual production capacity of more than 60,000m³ of engineered pine wood, following high standards of quality. All the wood used in our manufacture will come from sustainable management of our planted forests, ensuring control of origin and total quality of the raw material.


We have a commercial partnership with KLH®, an Austrian pioneer in the production of CLT panels, having developed the product in cooperation with the Technical University of Graz in 1996.

We are official distributors in Brazil of CLT panels, having all the technical support and expertise provided by the company to guarantee the development of efficient, assertive and safe projects.
